IWRF Appoints Eron Main to full-time Secretary General position
Delta, British Columbia, Canada – The International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (IWRF) is pleased to announce that Eron Main has been appointed as its full-time Secretary General.
Main has served on the IWRF Board of Directors since 2002, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of the sport. He first became involved with wheelchair rugby in 1993 as a volunteer in Ottawa, Canada where soon after he became a referee officiating games across Canada and the United States. In 2002 he was appointed as the IWRF’s Technical Commissioner, and served in that role through 2010.
Main has been employed on a part-time basis by the IWRF as Secretary General since September 2010, and will become the Federations first full-time employee effective March 1st.
IWRF President, John Bishop stated “This is an exciting time for our organization, and I am pleased that Eron has agreed to be our Secretary General. Having access to his experience and skills on a full-time basis will be a great benefit to our members around the globe, as well as for the sport itself.”
