Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games Wheelchair Rugby Results

For the first time Wheelchair Rugby has been included on the Asian Para Games programme, which will take place from 18-24 October in Incheon, South Korea.

This multi-sport event will feature 23 sports and approximately 4,500 athletes hailing from 41 countries within Asia. National teams from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and Korea will compete in the Wheelchair Rugby competition, which runs 19-22 October.

With exception to Japan and Korea, wheelchair rugby is not well known in Asia. IWRF President, John Bishop said "We hope the exposure of our sport during the Incheon Games will attract the attention of many countries in Asia, and that this will help spur new interest and growth throughout the region. There is great potential for this game in Asia, and we have lots of room to welcome all Asian countries that would like to join the global Wheelchair Rugby Family".

It is not known if any webcasting will be available at this time, however, daily tweets and game results will be distributed once the competition begins. The wheelchair rugby schedule has been posted below for your review. For more details please visit www.incheon2014apg.org
