Rio 2016 Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Results

The Wheelchair Rugby competition at the Rio 2016 Paralympics ran from September 14-18, and took place at Carioca Arena 1 on the Olympic Park.

 

The IWRF congratulates Australia on winning back-to-back Paralympic gold medals by defeating the United States in a thrilling double overtime game, 59-58. Both teams are to be commended for showcasing their dedication and skills to the sport. Congratulations also go to Japan, who held off Canada (52-50) to win their first ever bronze medal at the Paralympics. Special thanks to the thousands of fans who filled the arena almost every game - you are amazing!!
