Nottwil to hold draw for IWRF 2018 World Championship Qualifier

The draw for the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation 2018 World Championship Qualification Tournament will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018, in Nottwil, Switzerland at 4:00 pm Central European Time.


The Qualification Tournament will bring together eight countries to determine which will qualify for the last four positions at the GIO 2018 IWRF World Championship, to be held in Sydney, Australia, from August 5 to 10, 2018.


Teams will be drawn in pairs based on their current IWRF World Ranking: New Zealand (8) and Germany (10); Colombia (15) and Korea (16); and Poland (17) and Ireland (19). Host country Switzerland (14) will select their pool after the first three pairs have been drawn, with Brazil (12) assigned to the other pool.

The Qualification Tournament will be held in Nottwil from April 2 to 8, 2018.
